DADDY DEAREST - an acrostic poem

DADDY DEAREST (For my Father, James aka Slim)

Don’t ever question my love for you…
And don’t you ever wonder if I appreciate all that you do
Don’t you know that you are my earthly King?
Don’t you know all the joy, affection, and protection you bring?
You are my Daddy Dearest – the man whom I cherish, love and adore

Designated by the Divine to be my parent, my friend, my life mentor
Encouraging my talent, believing in my dreams, complimenting my beauty
Always nourishing my esteem. It’s always my pleasure to hear God’s word
Resonate from your lips. Like King Solomon to his child your instruction was strict
Extra thick with knowledge, wisdom, self-respect and sophistication
So much emphasis placed on education and I thank you. I know I am special in your eyes
That I am sure, and I love you, I love you – I love you everyday Daddy, more and more

For The King (Michael Jackson Tribute)

*Inspired by his legacy and discography

For The King

He’s the King of Pop
There is none higher!

There’ll never be another
So we call him Sire!

I can remember the time when I first met you on the tube
Belting out ABC with your brothers on the J5 cartoon
Then I heard you on the radio crooning with youthful energy and grace
No motion can describe the way you make me feel,
except for the smile on my face
You give me butterflies and delightful chills
And fill me with 2000 watts of
Shoo-be-doo-be-doo-da-day thrills
I can’t help it…you bring me musical joy like I’ve never known since
And I just can’t stop loving you of that I am convinced
Heaven can wait longer for you I said, but God and you disagreed, I guess
To hear of your untimely demise left me shocked and utterly speechless
June 25th was a bad day for my listening ears
Because I’d heard that you departed our earthly premises
after only 50 years
My hands could not repel the sonic boom of worldwide cries
invading my ears
I ran to find shelter from the torrent flood of the peoples tears
But…
There was no vacancy at Heartbreak Hotel
No more could enter, for the capacity had swelled
It was sold out by fans who loved you so…
There was no place in the whole wide world that I could go
Our love is here and you are gone
No more live shows for you to sing our songs
For all the things you are, we are the world who will forever adore you
A crowd thriller giving the greatest show on Earth in the way
that only you can do
A musical genius who we had the honor and pleasure
of enjoying in the spirit and the flesh
An innovative choreographer and 300 million plus philanthropist
Gone too soon
Yet your legend is invincible and will forever reign
Whether yellow, brown, red, black or white we all agree the same
You are our musical King
Who healed the world and gave the Earth song and dance
And communicated across dialects from Istanbul to France
We will continue to rock with you in our hearts and jam
until the break of dawn
Musically immortal you are, so in our spirits you shall live on
Amongst all of our love and adoration though is darkness that
I’m sure you knew was coming
For ain’t no sunshine in some of the media for they
always wanna be startin’ somethin’
Haters wanna be where you are – On top, undefeated
But haters never prosper so they can just beat it!
Say, say, say what they will or may
You ARE Michael Jackson, what else is there to say?
And as your music continues to play
And as future generations ask who is it streaming through the airwaves
I’ll say…
THIS is the epitome of music at its core and so much more
And when they cry and ask why aren’t you here anymore?
I’ll tell them as you told me in lyrics so pure
Death is a part of life - It’s simply human nature

He’s the King of Pop
There is none higher!

There’ll never be another
So we call him Sire!

Fruit of Her Spirit - A linked Haiku

Fruit of Her Spirit
(For Ruby Diva, my Mother)

Love

Beautiful Brown eyes
shimmer with adoration
reflecting her love

Joy

Memories bring bliss
of her Eskimo nose kiss
and tummy tickle

Gentleness

Gentle hands cleanse wounds
Healing lips kiss away pain
within her embrace

Patience

Tears supplied dry soil
believing her rose would bloom
and anoint the world

Peace

I count it all joy
as her prayers console me
ministering peace

Self-Control

Temptations managed
by showing thyself approved
Keeping her way clean

Faithfulness

Weathering life’s storms
Hiding God’s word in her heart
Spiritual teacher

Kindness

Compassionate heart
exudes deeds of charity
for all God’s children

Goodness

Woman of virtue
whose price exceeds her namesake
A treasured jewel

It Is Written...

It Is Written…

I want to write a song about a love so true
Scribble a lyrical feeling involving all that love can do
I want to write a dissertation of a world that makes one want to wake up tomorrow
To beam a smile that is genuine, joyous, and lacks sorrow

I want to write a verse that will empower and take the pain away
A psalm of strength to pray on a tested day
When I am tried in the fire and feeling the burn
When I am at the crossroads of life and don’t know which way to turn

I want to write a poem that resurrects the dead inside
A scribe that breathes life into a soul and revives
I want to write a stanza that will hug a spirit when it is down
A piece that will dam the flood of tears saturating the ground

I want to write a letter to tell how God so loved creation
An epistle in every dialect to convey to every nation
I want to write it but such has already been written
So I’ll just read the Bible instead and receive what The Father has given

Who am I?

Who am I?

I am African blood + unknown = x
I am diluted…
Wishing to be pure
Wishing to be more… like you…
Wishing to be painted in your exact hue
Envying you
With all sincerity
Coveting your level of purity
For this shade of skin leaves me pondering
And guessing…
Seeking answers
Vexing…
Over this mysterious truth that…
I am African blood + unknown = x
I am ambiguous and complex
My melanin is less
My ancestry has been breached and modified
I’ve heard I’m of Indian descent
But am I Santee or Chicora tribe?
It has also been said that I too am French
Perhaps, a Louisiana Purchase descendant?
It is known that great-great granddaddy Roy
Had blue eyes, 6 girls, and 11 boys
And yet there is more…
His parents came to Ellis Island from
either Sweden or Switzerland’s shore?
Were unsure…

I am African blood + unknown = x
I am diluted…
Wishing to be pure
Wishing to be more… like you…
Wishing to be painted in your exact hue
Envying you
With all sincerity
Coveting your level of surety
For this shade of skin leaves me pondering
And guessing…
Seeking answers
Vexing…
Over this mysterious truth that…
I am African blood + unknown = x

Is God Real?

Is God Real?

I believe that God is real…
This is just the way that I feel
When I see the sun replace the moon
When Summer hot turns Autumn cool
Or when a firefly flickers in a darkened room
You may disagree with me
Yet, it's as plain as Jane to see
When I pluck a leaf from a tree
And watch it sway in an invisible breeze
When I hear a Blue Whale speak from the sea
Or when cloud tears fall from the sky around me
I believe that God is real…
This is just the way that I feel
When I see an ultrasound with life inside
When I feel the pull on the shore of a rising tide
When a King Cobra dances with his flexed hide
It’s just a vibe…
That I receive
When a Venus flytrap snatches up a centipede
When a chameleon blends so not to be seen
Or in watching a snowfall cover streets
His feats
Cannot be outdone
Like when a lily blooms an open praise towards the sun
When a geyser shoots from the Earth like a gun
Being witness to a rainbow curving over the sun
Or when a glacier breaks away from…
You may still disagree
And that’s OK by me
But, I believe that God is real
It’s just the way that I feel…

...4!

…4!

What did I come here for?
Standing at this door…
Is it in there…
I’m unsure
A little birdie told me, if I knock, I could get more
Galore…
But birds also shit on you so I brought my
Nina-five plus 4
Feelin’ like Biggie wanting to…
bust in the door, waving the...
And get what I’ve gotta be standing outside this door for
That keeps me kneeling on the floor
That keeps my heart captive in its core
That’s 96% sovereign plus 4 more
I think I’m sure
It’s all behind this door
I just can’t wait anymore
But I gotta be wise to endure
Foolish entry could award me a 191 minus 4
I can hear movement across the floor…
I’ve done this before…
The sounds are similar to the last door
Where I walked away pure
This is the motherfuckin’ door!
Mission: elevate and soar
Now I’m sure…
Its less – will be my more…
1… 2… 3... !

You sank my Battleship! (Dickmotism)

Warning:

You sank my Battleship!
(Dickmotism)

I knew better than what I did…
Now I’m sittin’ here with no shake
Cuz this one, I can’t
shake…
He gives more than I can take
He sets me straight
Then bends my lust into a crooked state
When away?
I just can’t wait
To inebriate
On his love that just – won’t… let… me… wait…!
For the attacking of my passion
In strategic battle-mode fashion
Targeting my battleships with calculated courses of action
Bombing my patrol boats with inhibition-breaker explosions
As his hips grind in motions that bursts the submarine within my mental ocean
His stroke consumes my thoughts
Clouds my judgment
And disrupts my common sense
I got it bad…
and that ain’t good
Floating spellbound in his trance
A victim of the rhythm of his
Dickmotism
Hypnotic swirl spinning
His golden dick on a chain swaying in my vision
I can’t walk away without his permission
I’ve slipped
I can’t get a grip
His destroyers are firing upon my pussy-owner
ship
I got it bad ya'll
and this shit ain’t fair
White flag hoisted in the air

Smile For Me Daddy

Morris Chestnut Pictures, Images and Photos

Smile For Me Daddy
(For Morris & Idris)

Smile for me Daddy…
Don’t you know how
beyond beautiful you are
– When you smile
Your masculine beauty
exponentially magnifies
– When you smile
Like a moonlit sea
you brighten my nights
– When you smile
I would walk the plank
and swim the Caspian
if on the furthest seashore
was that – smile
Your sienna brown eyes
beam enchantment
and radiate love
When adjoined with your smile
With each grin,
you illuminate
and bless my day
and create a thing of beauty
The gleam does something
amorous to me
I just love it when you smile…
That’s why I always tickle you there
Just a gentle kiss on the lips,
to see that Crest model flair
A dark gable,
with “ooh, can I just touch your” hair
Evocative of formed waves
on wind brushed desert sands
Big manly hands
and size 13 feet *wink*
Dimples in his cheeks
Skin tone dark
yet manifique

– Looking at me –
Smiling…

I admit,
I’m in bliss,
at the very sight
The glare won’t even let me be mad!
It is my welcomed Kryptonite
Beautifully sexy,
vibrant and pristine white
When you smile for me Daddy…
I must confess –
That if God made anything
better than your smile
He kept it for himself!

There is a Castle...

Photobucket
Lambert Castle, West Paterson, NJ

There is a Castle…
(To Paterson, I love you)

Sire,

There has been a change on Temple Hill…
The challenge of walking up is distracted now
By infectious ills
Coughed up by Northside naughty neighbors
The Silk City has become rough and gritty…
And the quality of life force within is the pity
The spread of hopelessness has run amok
In thine beloved city
Your adored sculpture of Beaux-Arts
Nestled in the valley’s heart
Where inner villages are triangle bent
Project tenements
are on Grand streets,
Cobblestone history under feet
and Park prestige in the East
And…
On a clear day
If you look towards the sky,
You can see the realm of the Four Towers
Nestled behind dual drawbridges
Embraced by the great falls river stream
Yet,
Like the stream, full and raging in Spring
The Peoples tears are flooding River Street
Rounding out Putnam’s oval like 10th Avenue circle
And swelling over the walls of the Blue Palace
Messenger Ginsberg’s Howl is now a growl!
They have forgotten to love her sire – with a kiss
Forgotten bard Williams', torah of love, for her populace
They have forgotten to believe, Sire
That they are within her Kingdom
They need a beacon of hope to guide them
Through the shadows of despair and civil unrest
Belief that even dreams deferred can manifest
Shall I point them towards the view in the West?
Where within the slopes of Garrett Mountains peaks
There is a reminder…
That – Royalty
indeed
walk these streets

There is a Castle…

And…

Wherever there is a castle – there is a Kingdom!

God's Four Seasons - A linked Haiku

Four seasons Pictures, Images and Photos

God’s Four Seasons

Winter Wonderland

White blankets of snow
Cover all sins like Jesus
Winter’s wonderland

Spring is Here!

Rebirth on the Earth
Flowers and trees, birds and bees
Spring has sprung God’s love

Summer Son

God has smiled on me
and kissed me with His Sonshine
after Summer rain

Fall of Love

Leaves convey His love
Autumn hues fight off life’s blues
As God paints for me

7 Deadly Sins - A linked Senryu

7 Deadly Sins

Pride

I don’t need your God
Your God needs my approval
I’m The Great I Am

Greed

Oil wealth is the goal
Ravage their land and spill blood
The point must be clear

Envy

Life just isn’t fair!
On this Earth,
tint means struggle
I wish I was White

Wrath

My husband beats me
God’s vengeance was less than swift
Blood pours from his head

Lust

I’ve got to have it
Whether her or him or them
Disease - I give all

Gluttony

I sniff so much coke
I have a hole through my nose
blackened with cancer

Sloth

I have never worked
Stayed with Mom until her death
Can I stay with you?

Vengeance Is Mine - A Pantoum

Photobucket

Vengeance Is Mine
(Romans 1:18-32)

You will answer to God for this…
For all the pain and destruction you inflict
For you know better than what you do
Believe that Pride comes before the fall is true

For all the pain and destruction you inflict
For all the tears shed, all the blood, all the evil intent
Believe that Pride comes before the fall is true
You’ll get what you deserve yet I’ll be praying for you

For all the tears shed, all the blood, all the evil intent
God sees and judges all so the wrath of God you’ll get
You’ll get what you deserve yet I’ll be praying for you
Fallen child of God with a spirit of “nothing to lose”

God sees and judges all so the wrath of God you’ll get
You’ve gone too far, caused too much harm, and still refuse to repent
Fallen child of God with a spirit of "nothing to lose"
On your day of judgment God will surely deal vengefully with you

You’ve gone too far, caused too much harm, and still refuse to repent
For you know better than what you do
On your day of judgment God will surely deal vengefully with you
You will answer to God for this…

Groin Kiss

Warning:
This poem is rated Mature and may contain material unsuitable for readers under 18.

Groin Kiss

As he’s laying there warm and wet
from the Jacuzzi jets
My mouth cravingly wets
as my pussy quivers and quakes
I hunger for his taste…
I need a place to bury my face
So before he escapes his fortunate fate
I move in for the kill
With a tongue flicker that’s ill
And a stroke that provokes
him to give God the praise
for how surreal it feels
Wet and wild,
I spin on his head
Break-dancer style
Then swallow him whole
and kiss his groin and steal his soul
As I rise,
I see it in his eyes gaze
He’s sexually amazed
Captured - My love slave
As he moans, I switch gears
and increase the pitch in his tone
Upon his love sack my tongue dances to
the rhythm of his harmonious moans
I hand-stroke his girth as my pussy grows hotter
While my slippery tongue plays tricks on his balls
like Globetrotters
The smacking of my lips
excites his dick
As I suck fuck him
with precision into oblivion
He closes his eyes clinches his thighs
then explodes uncontrolled
all over my mouth, chin and nose
Ignited by his passionate release
my arousal is increased
by gyrating fingertips provoking my clit's freak
inciting my orgasmic dams release
As the flow gates retreat
I levitate and drift
satiated
into paroxysmal bliss

Emotional Beast of Burden

Emotional Beast of Burden

Emotional pain is enduring…
It is the seed of depression
It is the root of unhappiness
It is the darkness that smothers the light
It is the hand that grips the throat where the song wants to sing
It is here in the midst of my heart
Cold and heavy metastasizing into my soul
It is here slowing my heart’s rhythm and fading my pulse
It is here for my life blood
Thirsty and unyielding…
It demands a liquid sacrifice before it returns to its slumber
But all I have to serve is a goblet full of fermented tears
Aged and robust with feelings of
regret, fear, defeat and despair
It drinks its fill and shrieks “not enough!”
It will not die until it feeds upon my eternal joy and gladness
And extinguishes the faith-fueled fire of my smile

The Glass Ceiling

The Glass Ceiling

Around the 11th hour of a starry bright night in November
I heard the most stirring sound that I will forever remember
This sound was profound as I heard it resound from the sky
to the ground
An epic sound
A mixture of a NASA shuttle launching and of cracking glass
Startled with intrigue, I gasped
Then arose from my couch and ran to peer outside via my den’s windowpane
And witnessed fragments of the infamous glass ceiling falling to its defeated shame
While breaking news ran across the TV confirming Barack Obama’s historical change

Soul Thief

Soul Thief

The moment has arrived
I know this for the pulse between my thighs rings as if an alarm
I am ablaze within
His touch coupled with his dancing tongue is a lust accelerant
His finger tips are guided heat-seeking missiles setting off landmines of bliss on spots where he alone is commander in chief
His scent is an intoxicating breeze emitted from Heaven’s
ebony male honeysuckle tree
He utters my name in a surround sound reverberating whisper invoking ecstasy
I am now in water
Can I survive or will I drown?
I am shackled within his passion and he has swallowed the key
Freedom has deserted me and left me stranded on the
isle of his bed
I refuse to S.O.S.
Mine eyes are a window to my yearning soul and I have no curtains to shield out the piercing sunshine of his gaze
For his gaze is a soul thief
I am beautifully violated by the mixture of our steaming sweat
His hard within my soft
His rough against my smooth
My yin intertwined in his yang
Our fusion is eternal
Immortal love is welcomed in by our duet of moans
Shall we sing forever, my love?
The audience within my body screams loudly, Encore, Encore!

What is Poetry?

What is Poetry?

Poetry is life
with its
love and its strife
Its truth and its lies
Its guilt and its pride
It’s an emotional ride
It is courage
It is fear
It’s dusk and dawn
It’s the rook against the pawn
The smiles and the tears
The current event,
and the retrospectful years
- It is sovereign -
A lyrical ebb and flow
for the shallow waters of carnal flesh
and the deep blue seas of the soul
It is my history
that I am a survivor
Poetry is freedom-driven
and I’m a front seat rider
Poetry is my mirror reflection
for all the world to see
Poetry is my soul’s rendering of
what you can and cannot see

Poetically Skitzo

Poetically Skitzo

Today I’m writing like I’m losing my mind
metaphorically crazy lines
like Gertrude Stein
Yesterday, I wrote youthful like Shel Silverstein
manifesting to the page innovatively diverse rhymes
Yet outside my poetic mind
you’d find that I’m like
Langston Hughes’s
“Quiet Girl”
and at other times in the world
I ponder thoughts of how death will unfurl
like my girl, Emily D.
At those times I just write to be free
to combat attacks from spiritual enemies
I write of the monsoon with similes
Thunder equals
paintears equals Rain
Wind equals
trial and Peace equals smile
After a while…
I can write with love like Queen Maya
and instill and inspire
ignite a fire in a spiritual place
Elevate and evoke
point them towards a higher plateau
Promote mental growth
in man, woman, boy and girl
residents of this not-so-nice World
Where the “Haves” rule
This now puts my pen in a political mood
so I write the truth harsh and rude
I got something to prove
to these blinded views
I got someone to school

Next…
so I connect
with Poet Laureate
Amiri Baraka and his Queen Amina’s plight
I write the fight of the non-White
poetically and prophetically I release what’s vexing me
Attack!
And then relax – relate – and release
cease and accept peace
let my pen breathe deep
Bob my head forth and back
and chill as Walt Whitman’s

poetic "Drum taps..."
