Vengeance Is Mine - A Pantoum

Photobucket

Vengeance Is Mine
(Romans 1:18-32)

You will answer to God for this…
For all the pain and destruction you inflict
For you know better than what you do
Believe that Pride comes before the fall is true

For all the pain and destruction you inflict
For all the tears shed, all the blood, all the evil intent
Believe that Pride comes before the fall is true
You’ll get what you deserve yet I’ll be praying for you

For all the tears shed, all the blood, all the evil intent
God sees and judges all so the wrath of God you’ll get
You’ll get what you deserve yet I’ll be praying for you
Fallen child of God with a spirit of “nothing to lose”

God sees and judges all so the wrath of God you’ll get
You’ve gone too far, caused too much harm, and still refuse to repent
Fallen child of God with a spirit of "nothing to lose"
On your day of judgment God will surely deal vengefully with you

You’ve gone too far, caused too much harm, and still refuse to repent
For you know better than what you do
On your day of judgment God will surely deal vengefully with you
You will answer to God for this…

Groin Kiss

Warning:
This poem is rated Mature and may contain material unsuitable for readers under 18.

Groin Kiss

As he’s laying there warm and wet
from the Jacuzzi jets
My mouth cravingly wets
as my pussy quivers and quakes
I hunger for his taste…
I need a place to bury my face
So before he escapes his fortunate fate
I move in for the kill
With a tongue flicker that’s ill
And a stroke that provokes
him to give God the praise
for how surreal it feels
Wet and wild,
I spin on his head
Break-dancer style
Then swallow him whole
and kiss his groin and steal his soul
As I rise,
I see it in his eyes gaze
He’s sexually amazed
Captured - My love slave
As he moans, I switch gears
and increase the pitch in his tone
Upon his love sack my tongue dances to
the rhythm of his harmonious moans
I hand-stroke his girth as my pussy grows hotter
While my slippery tongue plays tricks on his balls
like Globetrotters
The smacking of my lips
excites his dick
As I suck fuck him
with precision into oblivion
He closes his eyes clinches his thighs
then explodes uncontrolled
all over my mouth, chin and nose
Ignited by his passionate release
my arousal is increased
by gyrating fingertips provoking my clit's freak
inciting my orgasmic dams release
As the flow gates retreat
I levitate and drift
satiated
into paroxysmal bliss

Emotional Beast of Burden

Emotional Beast of Burden

Emotional pain is enduring…
It is the seed of depression
It is the root of unhappiness
It is the darkness that smothers the light
It is the hand that grips the throat where the song wants to sing
It is here in the midst of my heart
Cold and heavy metastasizing into my soul
It is here slowing my heart’s rhythm and fading my pulse
It is here for my life blood
Thirsty and unyielding…
It demands a liquid sacrifice before it returns to its slumber
But all I have to serve is a goblet full of fermented tears
Aged and robust with feelings of
regret, fear, defeat and despair
It drinks its fill and shrieks “not enough!”
It will not die until it feeds upon my eternal joy and gladness
And extinguishes the faith-fueled fire of my smile

The Glass Ceiling

The Glass Ceiling

Around the 11th hour of a starry bright night in November
I heard the most stirring sound that I will forever remember
This sound was profound as I heard it resound from the sky
to the ground
An epic sound
A mixture of a NASA shuttle launching and of cracking glass
Startled with intrigue, I gasped
Then arose from my couch and ran to peer outside via my den’s windowpane
And witnessed fragments of the infamous glass ceiling falling to its defeated shame
While breaking news ran across the TV confirming Barack Obama’s historical change

Soul Thief

Soul Thief

The moment has arrived
I know this for the pulse between my thighs rings as if an alarm
I am ablaze within
His touch coupled with his dancing tongue is a lust accelerant
His finger tips are guided heat-seeking missiles setting off landmines of bliss on spots where he alone is commander in chief
His scent is an intoxicating breeze emitted from Heaven’s
ebony male honeysuckle tree
He utters my name in a surround sound reverberating whisper invoking ecstasy
I am now in water
Can I survive or will I drown?
I am shackled within his passion and he has swallowed the key
Freedom has deserted me and left me stranded on the
isle of his bed
I refuse to S.O.S.
Mine eyes are a window to my yearning soul and I have no curtains to shield out the piercing sunshine of his gaze
For his gaze is a soul thief
I am beautifully violated by the mixture of our steaming sweat
His hard within my soft
His rough against my smooth
My yin intertwined in his yang
Our fusion is eternal
Immortal love is welcomed in by our duet of moans
Shall we sing forever, my love?
The audience within my body screams loudly, Encore, Encore!

What is Poetry?

What is Poetry?

Poetry is life
with its
love and its strife
Its truth and its lies
Its guilt and its pride
It’s an emotional ride
It is courage
It is fear
It’s dusk and dawn
It’s the rook against the pawn
The smiles and the tears
The current event,
and the retrospectful years
- It is sovereign -
A lyrical ebb and flow
for the shallow waters of carnal flesh
and the deep blue seas of the soul
It is my history
that I am a survivor
Poetry is freedom-driven
and I’m a front seat rider
Poetry is my mirror reflection
for all the world to see
Poetry is my soul’s rendering of
what you can and cannot see

Poetically Skitzo

Poetically Skitzo

Today I’m writing like I’m losing my mind
metaphorically crazy lines
like Gertrude Stein
Yesterday, I wrote youthful like Shel Silverstein
manifesting to the page innovatively diverse rhymes
Yet outside my poetic mind
you’d find that I’m like
Langston Hughes’s
“Quiet Girl”
and at other times in the world
I ponder thoughts of how death will unfurl
like my girl, Emily D.
At those times I just write to be free
to combat attacks from spiritual enemies
I write of the monsoon with similes
Thunder equals
paintears equals Rain
Wind equals
trial and Peace equals smile
After a while…
I can write with love like Queen Maya
and instill and inspire
ignite a fire in a spiritual place
Elevate and evoke
point them towards a higher plateau
Promote mental growth
in man, woman, boy and girl
residents of this not-so-nice World
Where the “Haves” rule
This now puts my pen in a political mood
so I write the truth harsh and rude
I got something to prove
to these blinded views
I got someone to school

Next…
so I connect
with Poet Laureate
Amiri Baraka and his Queen Amina’s plight
I write the fight of the non-White
poetically and prophetically I release what’s vexing me
Attack!
And then relax – relate – and release
cease and accept peace
let my pen breathe deep
Bob my head forth and back
and chill as Walt Whitman’s

poetic "Drum taps..."

Braving the Storm

Braving the Storm

My beloved dream is losing steam
Teeter-tottering…
Faltering on the balance beam
I yearn for its manifestation
So I must grasp the reins of control
And steer it away from its plummet towards the soil
But I am weak and the future seems bleak
Nothing is working out as planned
I feel out of the palm of God’s hand
I’m swaying in the middle of this tumultuous storm
Trying to stay warm
Soaking wet as I fret
Suffering in the freeze of the breeze
I shudder and fall to my knees
And fervently pray for the existence of my dream
That I must achieve,
That I must believe I will receive
But as the clouds crowd
The thunder rings aloud
I can’t see the silver lining above
Can’t feel the sunray warmth of God’s love
Fatigue and Fear coax me into retreat
It seems I’m headed for defeat
So I look to the hills and listen for that still small voice to speak
“Have you come this far for naught?”
Tried and teary-eyed
– I stand tall –
I can’t give up!

God's Gift

God’s Gift

This Jones I’ve got for you is the sweetest taboo
Like Sade, you’ve given me this bliss via your honey-laced kiss
I desire more of your love’s essence, more of this lift…
More euphoric elevation from your love spliff
I toke till I choke and can’t breathe
I am too weak to speak,
To utter for release from your passion-filled treat
I am forever conquered by your love’s sweet defeat
I revere you like a Queen at her Pharaoh’s feet
My fertile soil you implant and bless when inside your passionate caress
The glare from your stare keeps me there spellbound inside your care
Those eyes keep me mesmerized as I romanticize and realize
that the Father heard my cries
and answered in giving me you

An Ode to Neo (The One)

An Ode to Neo (The One)

Last night while staring into the windows of his soul
I saw golden flecks of love and affection sparkle in Morse code
Serenading me in psalms of ardent adoration with hypnotic prisms
Surging an electric current of ecstasy, escalating my heart’s rhythm
In awe, I stood on the insides of his heavenly embrace
Admiring the strength of his Atlas physique, and the grace in his Adonis face
Comparing the external view of his deep-set eyes to amber faceted jewels
And the brilliance within to a kaleidoscope of Autumn tree leaf hues
My mood was soothed and subdued as I ahhed and oohed
at the view of this mind-blowing romantic interlude
I watched with zeal as his love then exploded and splashed
onto the inner recesses of my passion-filled core
Creating an amorous environment for my mind, body and soul’s desire to revel and soar
In searching the depths of my heart chakra, I’d finally found a synergetic mate
Last night when love revealed in the eyes of Neo – my soul’s consummate

Love's Rollercoaster

Rollercoaster Sunset

Love’s Rollercoaster

I sit here and pluck the luck of a rose
In hopes that it will tell me if he loves me yes or not I suppose
I seek our horoscopes to cope with the anxiety residing inside of me
The presence of love has me looking forth and back dually like Janus, the deity
I asked the crystal ball,
“Should I let him in and give him power over my will?”
I want to love him deeply but I’m too scared to feel
For the sting of love is lasting as it pierces the heart’s core
Memories of its bittersweet touch are tattooed upon my soul’s ceiling and floor
So I shake the magic 8 ball and ask,
“Am I strong enough to endure more?”
It responds, “Sure”
Little comfort this answer provides to the growing fear inside
Remembering…
At its birth, love brings sunlit smiles and fluttering butterflies
And in its death, a monsoon of disheartened tears scornfully cried
Tell me palm reader,
Should I continue to guard my heart?
Should I enter this amusement park in the dark and embark?”

Love’s Rollercoaster has an unpredictable ride
So there is genuine reluctance for me to once again get inside
Tell me, should I trust the “I would never hurt you” sincerity in his eyes?
How can I be sure his truths are not lies fraudulently disguised?
She replied,
“To acquire love, one must risk the prize of their heart each and every time;
There must be no war, but agreement, betwixt your soul, body and mind;
With love, you must not fear, but trust and believe”

Her words I received –
She asked “Is he not the man with whom you want to be?”
I replied, “yes indeed”
When I look into his eyes, I am curious to try with this one I esteem
He enraptures my soul, arouses my body and speaks my heart’s language with ease
So I went to him and placed in his palm the key to my heart and asked that he follow me
We entered the coaster and took our seat front row center
And raised our arms as the motor revved and together allowed love to enter

FEARful LOVE

FEARful LOVE

I want to love you LOVE…I really do

I’ve heard so many good things about you
I heard from GLOOM and SO-BLUE
they raved about the power you exude,
the wonder of you…
How you made them smile just by being you
I heard it from TRUTH’s girl
that you knocked HATE out
in front of the WORLD
And everybody say
he’s like Debo
around their way
Well, that is what they say
I am so impressed
how you uniquely bless
How you hooked up HOPE with BROKEN-HEART
How that gave him a brand new start
And now they’re moving up the street
into the House of LOVE
I want to love you so much
In fact,
You’re all I’m thinking of
Ask your sisters JOY and GLADNESS
Everybody wants you – You’re the baddest!

You are LOVE

And, I want to love you LOVE…I really do
I want to be with you, and only you
Blind and all,
You are beautifully euphoric and pristine
And you can introduce me to PEACE,
CONFIDENCE and SELF-ESTEEM
I heard they’re in the company you keep
Which makes me think
About a rumor going around in the streets
That you sometimes chill with HURT and PAIN
My best chick INTUITION told me I may need to refrain
Cuz its known that they and their team can be real shady
Which you can see makes me reluctant in being your lady
So I hope this isn’t true
For I only want to be with you
The world renowned LOVE
Who has the power to brighten
or darken days
Many curious ways
The one who makes my heartbeat unstable on cue
Oh, the wonder of what you can do
I want to love you LOVE…I really do –

But I am FEAR

In-Love's Departure

In-Love’s Departure

Today, I in-loved someone who didn’t in-love me back…
For years, I’d read him and became fluent in Love-Braille
But at this moment, with clay-smeared eyes
I washed in the pool of Siloam
And I saw it today –
As reality meteors rained and crashed from the sky around me
My matrixal globe cracked down the center of my rupturing heart
This world of in-love had finally succumb to the
elements of his deceitful eyes
and the fragrant stench of his selfish lustful soul
I will always remember today…
This hour, this minute, this second - the very moment
I stopped in-loving him

The S.S. Inspiration

The S.S. Inspiration

This beautiful maiden trapped upon a desolate isle
Perched atop a cliff reflecting on this gift and watching
and waiting for my cargo ship the - S.S. Inspiration
It’s my only salvation that Soul Speak inspiration
Got me waiting…and waiting…
Concentrating…
As I watch the sea with glee no trace I see
But I feel it’s there
Behind the glare of the Sun
We are apart yet we are one
As I stand, I am grand, pen in hand
As I write across the sky and
command the wind to increase
and the Heavens to cry and release
Upon the Earth and give birth
to lyrical sustenance to sustain my poetic thirst
A writer’s curse
The worse
Got me waiting…and waiting…
Concentrating…
As I watch the sea with glee no trace I see
But I just know it’s there
Beyond the furthest wave
I S.O.S. upon the shore’s page
This vessel of peace I fervently seek
Set adrift the sea of Me
Soul Speak has my coordinates and can only retrieve and free
Can only release…
I’m ready to go
I’m ready to flow
Rhythmically in rhyme
Emphatically in prose
Speak once again via my reticent soul
To express and prevail
I’m yearning to poetically exhale
I’m waiting to make bail from this sandy jail
This writer’s Hell!
I…
I…
I think I see the sail…

 I have 2 boys…
Who run towards the commencement of the noise
That shakes the floor amongst their toys
Where Mommy & Daddy scream real loud
My youngest he can’t pronounce
words like his big brother’s mouth
But his tear-filled eyes understand
that this is not a good thing
For two who vowed to share wedding rings
Amongst other things…
He says “He loves me” and I no longer feel the same
I scream his name and plead for his life
To please not do this in our children’s sight
Thinking that he just might
Hear my plight
And let me take our children away from here
His second worst fear
I shudder with rage as he comes near
It’s clear
Today’s date the granite shall display
He vows to dig my grave
if I take his kids away
My eyes reveal and convey
that Love has departed and Death has taken its place
We’ve been together for 7 years
And I knew this man up until this here
This –
That rocked my world and tilted its axis
I never asked for this –
This got me fucked up in the brain
This my eyes reveal with tearful pain
This my God is so hard to explain
I loved this man so much
the shock was just insane
When I heard him utter a familiar name
Making squeaky sounds upon our bed frame
My eyes revealed their secret shame
Caught by surprise
As he tried to deny
Him giving another man oral affection
in front of my eyes
Blinded by his deception and lies
Our shared worst fear realized…
I faded to black and awoke
to their ended lives…
I have 2 boys
Whose lives have been destroyed
Parental null and void
For my boys
my sincerest regret
My incarcerated Life…
for Daddy’s death

CELIBACY - An Acrostic Poem

CELIBACY

Controlling every stimulating urge to

Enact upon my innate desire to lust after the flesh

Living faithfully in sexual abstinence by

Incorporating prayer daily to strengthen my spiritual intercessory

Being firm-minded around persuasive visual temptation

Abstaining from all erogenous gratification by being

Chaste and courageous in mind, body and soul as I encounter wiles

Yet virtuous by example in being pleasant in spirit and demeanor

A SALUTE TO THE KING - A Poem of Thanks

Photobucket

A SALUTE TO THE KING

Thank you Dr. King
for the prior and the latter Freedom you bring
Thank you Sir, earnestly, for everything

Thank you for walking fully into your purpose
Relinquishing all your earthly gems
Advocating for us, the good and the bad
past the understanding of mere men
Proving that despite the tremble of carnal flesh
the spirit within was fearless, tried and true
Proving with your actions that you loved us
even more than we’ve grown to adore you

Sir, I can only control me, same as my brethren,
So by example, I will not let your path paved for me be in vain
I’m making the most of your dream, your blood, your sweat, your tears
for your vision of me was much more than a mammy maid
Though the fight for equality has remained consistent and at times - inhumane
Were making strides towards U.S. presidency
business conglomeracy, and listed with other top millionaire names

You are a King past the surname
You are a courageous symbol to the oppressed soul
I am eternally grateful to you
your family, and your staff
for collectively raising us all to the next plateau

Thank you Dr. King
for the prior and the latter Freedom you bring;
Thank you Sir, earnestly, for everything!

QUOTES BY DR. KING:
Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent.

If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values - that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control.

Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better.

A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on the installment plan.

A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.

If physical death is the price that I must pay to free my white brothers and sisters from a permanent death of the spirit, then nothing can be more redemptive.

A man who won't die for something is not fit to live.

Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.

HEADLINE NEWS...LOL! - A Clerihew

Clerihew

A Clerihew is a comic verse consisting of two couplets and a specific rhyming scheme, aabb invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley (1875-1956) at the age of 16. The poem is about/deals with a person/character within the first rhyme. In most cases, the first line names a person, and the second line ends with something that rhymes with the name of the person.

Here are a few of mine:

HEAVEN - A Palindrome

PALINDROME

Also Known as Mirrored Poetry

A palindrome, by definition, is a word, phrase, verse, sentence, or even poem that reads the same forward or backward. It stems from the Greek word palindromos: palin, meaning again, and dromos, meaning a running. Combining the two together, the Greek meaning gives us, running back again...

POETRÉ: The Love of My Life

Hello Blog visitors:
I've chosen to begin this year with poetic creativity in exploring various poetry forms. To begin my creative exploration, I'll begin with a
"PANTOUM" poem. The pantoum poem is of Malaysian origin circa 15th century. Please review and let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment. Or better yet, try one yourself; the instructions are listed below. Thank you and Happy New Year! It’s time to elevate in 2008!

~Poetic Goddess Tara Shenéa

The pantoum consists of a series of quatrains rhyming ABAB in which the second and fourth
lines of a quatrain recur as the first and third lines in the succeeding quatrain; each quatrain
introduces a new second rhyme as BCBC, CDCD. The first line of the series recurs as the
last line of the closing quatrain, and third line of the poem recurs as the second line of the
closing quatrain, rhyming ZAZA.

The design is simple:

Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4

Line 5 (repeat of line 2)
Line 6
Line 7 (repeat of line 4)
Line 8

Continue with as many stanzas as you wish, but the ending stanza then repeats the second
and fourth lines of the previous stanza (as its first and third lines), and also repeats the
third line of the first stanza, as its second line, and the first line of the first stanza as its
fourth. So the first line of the poem is also the last.

Here is my rendition:

I’ve fallen in love with poetry more than a thousand times
With its freedom disguised in prose and rhyme
The imagination, the flows and sundry messages so innate
The love of my life is poetry, my textual soul mate

With its freedom disguised in prose and rhyme
The beautiful art form of poetry is simply divine
The love of my life is poetry, my textual soul mate
Poetry is more than my lover but a means to communicate

The beautiful art form of poetry is simply divine
Poetic forms are Acrostic all the way to ZaniLa Rhyme
Poetry is more than my lover but a means to communicate
The wonder of poetry is birthed in a writer’s soul and manifests in the world poetry creates

Poetic forms are Acrostic all the way to ZaniLa Rhyme
The imagination, the flows and sundry messages so innate
The wonder of poetry is birthed in a writer’s soul and manifests in the world poetry creates
